Directory Setup
HTML Directory:
The full path to the location where the main HTML pages will reside.
Example: /web/home/username/docs/autorank
URL Setup
CGI URL:
The full URL to the location where the CGI scripts reside.
Example: http://www.domain.com/cgi-bin/autorank
Forward URL:
The full URL surfers will be sent to when they click through.
Example: http://www.domain.com/autorank/index.html
HTML URL:
The full URL to where the ranking pages will be located.
Example: http://www.domain.com/autorank
In URL:
The full URL and filename of the incoming hit tracking script.
Example: http://www.domain.com/cgi-bin/autorank/rankem.cgi
Out URL:
The full URL and filename of the outgoing hit tracking script.
Example: http://www.domain.com/cgi-bin/autorank/out.cgi
E-Mail Setup
Sendmail Location or SMTP Server Hostname:
On Unix: The full path to sendmail.
Example: /usr/sbin/sendmail
On NT: The hostname/IP of your SMTP server.
Example: smtp.yourdomain.com
Your E-mail Address:
The email address you want to use in association with the list.
Example: webmaster@yourdomain.com
Overall Ranks
Overall Sites To List:
The number of sites to be listed.
Example: 100
Main Ranking Page:
The main ranking page for your site. The #1 overall ranking will appear on this page.
Example: index.html
Split List At:
Where to split the list and start a new page. (leave blank if none)
Example: 25,50,75 (NO SPACES!)
This setup will be 4 pages with ranks:
1-25 on the first
26-50 on the second
51-75 on the third
76-END on the last
Break List At:
Where to insert breaks in the list; for banner ads, etc. (leave blank if none)
Example: 5,30,70 (NO SPACES!)
Breaks occur after the rank indicated.
Font Sizes:
List of font sizes and corresponding ranks.
Example: 1-5=>4,6-25=>3,26-50=>2,51-100=>1
This setup will use a font size of:
4 for ranks 1-5
3 for ranks 6-25
2 for ranks 26-50
1 for ranks 51-100
Note that you must start at a low rank and work your way to a higher rank.
Overall Banners To Show:
The number of member banners to show on the overall ranking pages.
Example: 5
Category Ranks
Generate seperate ranking pages for each category?
You only need to fill in the rest of these fields if you checked the box above.
Items marked in blue are required if you checked the box above.
Update category pages at each rerank?

Sites To List Per Category:
The number of sites to be listed on category pages.
Example: 100
Categories:
The categories members will be able to choose from for their account.
Example: Category 1,Category 2,Category 3
Seperate categories by commas with no space before or after a comma.
Font Sizes:
List of font sizes and corresponding ranks.
Example: 1-5=>4,6-25=>3,26-50=>2,51-100=>1
This setup will use a font size of:
4 for ranks 1-5
3 for ranks 6-25
2 for ranks 26-50
1 for ranks 51-100

File Extension:
The file extension to use for category pages.
Example: html
Category Banners To Show:
The number of member banners to show on the category ranking pages.
Example: 5
Other Options
Minimum Hits:
The minimum number of hits needed to get listed.
Example: 1
Site Title Max Length:
The maximum number of characters allowed for member site titles.
Example: 60
Site Description Max Length:
The maximum number of characters allowed for member site descriptions.
Example: 255
Time Zone Offset:
The time zone offset to use for date/time displays on the list.
If your server is in EST and you are in CST, this would be -1
Example: -1
Date Format:
The format to be used for dates generated by the script.
Example: %n-%j-%y

Decimal Places:
The number of decimal places to show for Hits/Time values

Check this box if you are using cron to update the list.
Rerank Time:
The minimum number of seconds between list re-ranks
Example: 3600
Reset Time:
The minimum number of seconds between list resets
Example: 86400
If you want your table row colors to alternate, fill in the following items
First Row Color:
The color to use for the first row, and then every other, in your table.
Example: #dcdcdc
Second Row Color:
The color to use for the second row, and then every other, in your table.
Example: #afafaf
Mark new sites with an icon?
New Icon HTML:
The full HTML tag to use for the new image.
Example: <img src="http://www.domain.com/images/new_icon.gif">
Time to display icon:
The minimum number of seconds to display the new icon next to a site.
This number should be at least as large as your rerank time.
Example: 86400
Maximum Banner Height:
The maximum height value members can use for their banners.
Example: 60
Maximum Banner Width:
The maximum width value members can use for their banners.
Example: 468
Banner Alt Value:
The value to place in the alt attribute of member banner image tags.
Example: Click Here To Visit This Site
If you want to use a banner from your server for all accounts that do not
fill in banner information, complete the three fields below.
Default Banner URL:
The full URL to the default banner to use for accounts.
Example: http://www.domain.com/images/banner.gif
Default Banner Height:
The height of the default banner.
Example: 60
Default Banner Width:
The width of the default banner.
Example: 468
If you want to display up and down images next to sites, fill in the following.
Up Image HTML:
The full HTML tag to use for the "up" image.
Example: <img src="http://www.domain.com/images/up.gif">
Down Image HTML:
The full HTML tag to use for the "down" image.
Example: <img src="http://www.domain.com/images/down.gif">
Unchanged Image HTML:
The full HTML tag to use for the "unchanged" image.
Example: <img src="http://www.domain.com/images/unch.gif">

Field One Name:
The name of the data you are collecting for field one.
